This Music Industry qualification is recommended for people with little experience and beginners who wish to work in the music industry. By the end of this two year performance based course* you should be able to confidently play chords, scales, riffs and perform simple songs on guitar, play in a group and learn elementary Bass and Drums.
*Note: It is possible that if you work hard and develop a suitable standard of performance, you could move directly to Certificate II after the first year.
You are also given experience in using amps and working safely whilst setting up and playing. You will develop music industry knowledge and will be required to work independently to gather evidence and maintain a portfolio of work samples and relevant information.
You must own your own instrument but previous experience with guitar is not essential.
