This qualificaiton is delivered over two years and is recommended for people who wish to
work in visual arts related industries or for those who intend to continue into higher education, such as TAFE. You will be suitably equipped to either work or study in industry areas such as; architecture, environmental design, interior architecture, industrial design, interior design, interior decoration, illustration, concept art, game design, graphic design, photography, filmmaking, video art, advertising, fashion design, web-design, make up artist, display artist, stylist, artist or crafts person.
By the end of the two-year course you should be able to confidently work alone and in a group to create 2D digital art works and 3D interactive artworks following health and safety procedures. You will acquire a broad range of skills and techniques in employing the elements and principles of art and design.
You will develop visual arts industry knowledge and are required to work independently to gather evidence and maintain a portfolio of work samples and relevant information.
