Certificate I in Engineering – MEM10105

This is a year long course offered over two (2) gridlines, for those of you wanting to enter the metals and engineering trades. The course is divided into three streams;

  • Fabrication: – Soldering, Brazing and Welding.
  • Machining and Process: – Using hand tools, power tools and machining.
  • Drawing: – Interpretation, sketching and drawing.

Studying this course will give you the opportunity to gain the basic skills and knowledge necessary to increase your chances of employment in the Engineering trades. For those going onto further study, this course will provide you with a sound base for entry into the Certificate II in Engineering.

The course is made up of four (4) mandatory units and ten (10) elective units. All four of the mandatory units and ten of the electives must be successfully completed.

Certificate Cost: $180

It is recommended that students who select this certificate course also enrol in Workplace Learning, Maths and English.
