• following occupational safety and health requirements

Unit 4 – In this unit you will be

• planning and adapting recipes and cooking techniques to meet the nutrient needs of different groups in our community
• examining the influences of lifestyle and cultural traditions on nutritional health
• examining the value adding of food
• exploring the reasons for preserving food
• studying food spoilage and contamination
• investigating food processing techniques
• investigating the principles of food preservation
• examining food packaging, labelling and storage
