Marie Molloy is Cyril Jackson Senior Campus’ Visual Art teacher and the creator and Coordinator of the CJSC ArtsHouse project.
Her roles see her teach across the campus including mainstream, Intensive English Centre and CJSC Education Support Centre students; as well as create for and contribute to education, the creative industries and community. She holds a BA in Visual Arts, Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, Certificate IV Training and Assessment and is a Senior Teacher. She also sits on the CJSC Building and Strengthening Partnerships Committee.
Marie in an energised and passionate teacher who thrives being in the classroom, creating a lifelong love and curiosity for learning, and authentic, experiential education and industry experiences for students.
As ArtsHouse Coordinator her role is focused on working with industry to form mutually beneficial, meaningful relationships and partnerships. These relationships have provided the campus the opportunity to work with The National Cultural Fund, peak WA art governing body, Artsource, Co3 Dance Company, InSITU, the Town of Bassendean, WA Youth Theatre Company (WAYTCo), WA Police and numerous high-profile artists and creators. It has seen her create opportunities for collaboration, experience, network building for students, work and training opportunities for youth and professional development opportunities for creative industries staff and the broader community. In 2021 she was nominated to sit on the WAYTCo Board and in 2018, awarded the Town of Bassendean Community Citizen of the Year award.
As a CJSC Campus Board member Marie is committed to the campuses strong and clear vision, and committed to its vision, representing those who contribute, work, and learn there; and that is a model for innovation that optimises its unique position to create and build on opportunities that best serve its development.
