At the end of last year, CJ Media teacher, Kayleigh Geldenhuys, together with some of her students, Alexander Andrew Mhawira and Harper Tabb, received a fantastic opportunity to work with mentor filmmaker, Kenta McGrath; to create a short film for the Perth Festival’s Museum of Water. ‘The Museum of Water project is a radically different initiative that showcases, in Australia’s driest state, our connection to the world’s most essential life source.’
Kayleigh and students worked on Andrew’s story of water. Kayleigh says, ‘Filmed on campus and in Perth surrounds, it is a stunning and meaningful short film and was one of four other shorts produced by WA schools’.
This film can be seen before the Feature Film ‘Foxtrot’ which is showing from the 5th-11th of March at UWA Somerville Auditorium and at ECU Joondalup Pines from the 13th-18th of March.
