Talented CJ students shine at Bassendean Events

On February 24, CJ student and singing sensation, Vanessa Hopes, entertained locals at the Old Perth Road Twilight Markets and later at the Bassendean Outdoor Cinema. The cinema was screening a silent Buster Keaton film and the short beforehand was created by our CJ students.

CJ Media teacher Kayleigh Geldenhuys, together with the Town of Bassendean, filmmaker Mat DeKoning and CJ students, Vanessa Hopes, Andrew Mhawira, Harper Tabb, Jordan Hunt, Elisabet Pryor, Elise Solich, Tima Munro and Dwayne Taylor worked on creating the short film during the summer holidays. The students spent three days filming and three days editing the footage into a Cluedo-gone-wrong type film titled ‘Well Played.’ Award winning Perth band, Viola Dana composed the score that was performed live to the short film. A fabulous night was had by all!
