Return to school - Mature Age Student

If you are 20 years or older on 1st March you are considered a
mature aged student.

Returning to study as a mature-age student can come with its
complications. We understand this and have created a flexible timetable, so
whether you have school drop off or work commitments we are able to tailor your
campus timetable to help you achieve study / work balance.

It is completely normal to feel anxious about making a study
commitment and joining a new environment. We are here to help you with the
transition and get you feeling excited about the new opportunities ahead.

You may want to enrol at our campus to prepare for university,
TAFE or even the Police or Defence Forces. You may want to return to study to
up-skill or re-train for employment, or simply want to study purely for the love of
learning. Cyril Jackson SC is designed with students such as you in mind,
creating an adult learning environment. We offer a wide range of courses and
programs that can provide you with the skills and qualification you need to
take the next step.

If your pathway is university, Cyril Jackson SC really has the
best platform on offer for mature aged students. While there are now other
means of acquiring university entrance, we believe that the completion of at
least two ATAR courses will give you the best preparation for further academic
study. The content and learning style that you will be exposed to through
undertaking ATAR, will equip you with all the necessary academic expectations
of studying at university and help you stay for the duration. If you have been
researching your potential university course, you will see that many courses
have prerequisites, and we offer these Year 12 courses for you.

You can find the list of the ATAR courses we offer here.
